![]() A celebration of St Eanswythe’s Saint’s DayThe church of St Mary & St Eanswythe, Church St , Folkestone, , Kent, CT20 1SW St Eanswythe is the patron saint of our town: Folkestone. Her saint's day is the 12 September. On Saturday 14th. We shall lead a 2 hour guided walk, exploring both the life of this 7th century saint and founder of England's first nunnery and nearby churches. St Eanswythe's relicts are kept in the Church of St Mary and St Eanswythe. During the tour we shall meet guest speakers and visit a stain glass designer's workshop. The event is offered free of change. Advance booking is recommended but not required. All are welcome. Although we make no special provision for any particular age group or families the event is suitable for all but the youngest children Opening Times
