![]() A Free Taster Tour On behalf of The Folkestone Townscape Heritage Initiative An introduction to our repertoire of 7 walks on various local history themes. A glimpse of the rich heritage to be found in Folkestone old town touching on many aspects of our town's fascinating heritage: Architecture, seaside entertainment, smuggling, art and literature will all get a mention as will the 19th century regeneration scheme started by Lord Radnor with architects Sydney Smirke and Decimus Burton, it will be compared with the present scheme Time: Morning of Saturday 14th June at 11.30 am The walk will, last about 2 hours. It will start from the Town hall and end at the Town Hall. Maximum group number is 30 If the weather is bad we shall present a slideshow in the Old High Street, a short walk from the Town Hall.
