Help us tell the story of our town

We are looking for tales of adventures that began or ended with a trip across the channel for our project Between the Storms  which explores the heritage of Folkestone as a cross-channel port.  
Maybe your life was changed forever by  the crossing or maybe you just had a good time? Whatever, tell us about it
we shall publish a selection of your stories in a book to be launched during the Folkestone Book Festival in November 2014.
All stories must be sent to us as word documents. Maximum length 3000 words. 
Deadline   The end of July 2014.
